Our Story
Kept by Family Since 1987
It started with one shingled cottage and a rowboat. The Harlow family spent summers here, adding a room each decade as cousins, dogs and eventually grandchildren arrived. When friends kept asking to borrow the keys, we stopped lending — and started hosting.
Today Sandpiper Coast Retreats is three houses run by the second generation: Mara keeps the gardens, June runs the kitchen, and Tom maintains every board, boat and bicycle. The cottages grew up, but the rule never changed — leave it kinder than you found it.
- Family-run, never a chain — the people who greet you own the place
- Five-minute beach cleanup built into every stay
- Solar-heated pools and refill stations in every house
